Interview With Nesrine
Nesrine Brikci wears many hats. She’s a content creator, blogger, photographer and wanderer who splits her time between Montreal, London and the tiled riads of Morocco. Her signature phrase Le temps d’un cafétranslates to ‘a time for coffee’ so we encourage you to grab a fresh brew and find a spot under the sun before you nestle down and read this interview.
When did you fall in love with travelling?
I think I’ve always been in love with the idea of going away and not looking back. I was always aware that the world had so many things to offer and that one day I would need to see what’s out there.
I travelled to Asia when I was 18 years old and it made me realise how little I knew about this world and how beautiful it was . I had to face different cultures, mentalities, ways of living and it was so wonderful to be part of it all.
Can you describe your travel style in 3 words?
Unexpected, breathtaking and openminded
If you could catch a flight right now to anywhere in the world where would you go? Why?
Tahiti. Who wouldn’t want to go there? A wonderful wildlife, white sand, turquoise water, fresh coconuts, can you really ask for more?
How has having a Masters in Fashion Photography influenced your blogging style?
People often think that fashion is a superficial world but it’s so much more than that. Being in Fashion made me see beauty where I didn’t see it before. My master taught me how to find inspiration everywhere, from movies to the tube station in London. I think my blog is a way for me to make people travel. I was never amazing at writing but I speak through my pictures and I truly believe people understand that.
What piece of advice would you give your 20-year-old self?
To let go because eventually, it will all make sense.
